While currently negotiating a judgment, I requested the CA to have it vacated ... I was told I would have to pursue vacating the judgment on my own ... Is this true or b.s. ... They can vacate if they want right? Also while negotiating ... The CA said they'd send me a copy of the satisfied judgment once I settled in full & they were only doing this because I requested it ... ! ... Gee thanks! Obviously I'm the one (not they) who will have to forward the info to the CRB's ... These people are unbelievable!
If you PAY a judgment, you MIGHT get a "paid" statement to file with th Court, IF it was the CA who filed the judgment against you in the first place. A 3rd party CA cannot give you a satisfaction of judgment if they were not the ones who filed. Even IF you were to obtain a valid satisfacton of judgment to file with the court, there is NO WAY you can vacate the judgment on that basis. Since you have PAID it, you cannot VACATE it.
Why Chat... I've been dealing w/the CA's Attorney... The judgment was filed by the CA/CA's Attorney. At least this is what's written on the court docs. There is nothing written on the court docs in regard to the 2nd Party/OC. This makes me believe the OC has sold this to the present CA ... So this should make them the 2nd party(?) Also... Anyone have experience as to how a "Paid Judgment" reflects against one's credit reports?
