Hi, everyone! I have been a long admirer of this site silently and have read numerous posts here. It is my first post so hope the welcome is very warm. Well, I call EXP and asked to get a 1997 repo from Triad Financial removed. After all EQ and TU removed. I even remember that I went delinquent in March of 1997 and again in May. Exp says that the tradeline is removed at the Chargeoff which was in December. I told her that she was not right. If the other CRA's realize the correct reporting periods then what is up with EXP. I sense they want to keep my negative on longer.
Hi CH, Welcome to the board. Exp. is lying. The 7 year reporting period is measured from the date of the most recent delinquency, immediately preceding a negative action. Here is one of our most valuable threads which deals with this issue. http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...threadid=35447&highlight=reporting+AND+period .
