Did the search, and seems as though some were applying 2 at a time right after each other. So Im just wondering if thats still good to do. Im interested in Amex BLUE and a GOLD Preferred golds charge card. At the moment I have Platinum Optima. These are my credit cards at the moment:

    Year: Credit Limit Balance:
    1999- Wells Fargo Student M/C = $1800 $0
    1999 or 2000 Firestone = $800 $0
    2000-2001 Platinum Universal ATT M/C = $3800 $0

(Sept will be YEAR of OPENING)
    2003-Citi Cards Platinum Select = $8300 $0 (BT $2k Amex)
    2003-Amex Opitma Platinum =$9000 $3800

Seeing my list I feel the only true PRIME cards are the last 2. So I want to get another Prime card from AMEX (Blue) and a charge card. I would for apply within a week or so. If I have a good chance of getting 2 cards for the price of 1 pull, for the AMEX cards that I want. Eventually I want to get rid of my Wells card and Firestone. As they are no competition to what I have now. But Im just keeping for the history and that they are my very first credit lines. In about 2-3 years after my Citi and first Amex get 2-3 years of History my others will be deleted.

So basically will this 2 cards for the 1 INQ work? Just trying to see if there are others that have tried very recently? If so, how did you do it? I asked AMEX REP and they said no, I would have to apply twice and get 2 INQ.

Last few questions. Should I apply for the 2 I want? or should I try another credit card company? Chase, BofA, etc.... Amex has been Extremely GREAT and comptetive. $6k increase within the last 6 months. And that is why I really want those 2 and because I would like to have multiple accounts with AMEX. Espcially the way they've been increasing and treating me. Just wanted to hear some opinions. Thanks for your time and help.
