Here is my delema, sorry of this is a little long.
I have some negative remarks on my credit report that I want to see how or if I can get them removed. There are 3 negative marks, all are with student loans. This is where the dispute comes in. All three loans (2 Sallie Mae & 1 from the university) say that delinquent payments 90, 120, 150 days, started in 2004. I ended up tranfering to another university to graduate and I think they thought I was out of school so the deferment on my loans had stopped, but during the time of the â??delinquent paymentsâ? I was still in school, just at another university so my deferment on the loans should have continued.
Now for the 2nd partâ?¦ these 3 loans were consolidated in December of 2004 to another company in which I have made payments to every month since 12/2004, but the original lenders still show on my credit as still not being paid all the way into June of 2005â?¦ almost 6 months after they were consolidated. And it shows on my credit report that they are all 3 closed, payed, and transferred to another lender.
I guess my question is, can I get these off my credit report?? If so, how do I go about doing this??
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me.

Yes, you can certainly dispute student loans.

Start by disputing the incorrect information through the credit bureaus, and if what you're saying is truly the case, it sounds like someone really messed up concerning your deferment status and you need to find out who it was.

You've never missed a payment, so all of these negative marks should be rightfully removed. Be patient though, it may take some time to get to the bottom of everything and clean up your reports.
