A few months ago before I discovered these wonderful, helpful sites, I got a court summons from an attorney collecting on an old charge off. Not knowing any better, I freaked out. When they called to offer a deal of paying $100 a month I jumped on it lock, stock, and barrel ( what a dummy) Anyway know that I am reading all of this wonderful info, I wanna know if I have an alternative...? It is a monthly draft and I have been calling the past few days and of course they will not call me back. I am tinking about just stopping the draft, if I do I know they will call or send more crap mail, is it too late to dispute this tuff or am I totally sunk and have to keep paying?
Whoa Brownie, before he does any of that, he needs to check the court file and see what they did with the summons. Was the case dismissed? is it continued? Did they go ahead and get a default judgment? Work in the background until you find out the status of the court case. Then decide what to do.
Hmmm, we need more details. You could possibly have been deceived, and there never was a court summons. What did the original letter say? Did it specify a particular court?
I got an official Boston Municpal Court summons. I was real...I guess. I have seen them before and it was exactly how it was supposed to look....Could it have still been a fake?!?!
Who made credit so important! ========================================== =========================================== I don't know but Fico made it a shell game. ><- <>- ><- <> ~~~ ><- <>- ><- <> ><- <>- ><- <> ~~~ ><- <>- ><- <>
Re: Re: Can I get out of this?!?! Only way to tell now is to go down to the court listed in the summons and make copies of all the paperwork under that docket number.
