I just now received a CC offer in the mail from Fleet. No annual fee 10.99%APR, no BT fee. I have two derogs on EXP, myfico score 665. Whaddya think?
Personally, I think Fleet blows. Rate jacking being the primary reason. I started getting pre-approvals from them but am not impressed. That said, if you are in need of some good TL's, then go for it. If you don't, throw it in the round filing cabinet (Use shredder first though)
Fleet pulls Trans Union in AZ. They've been aggressive with their personal lines but have not offered instant increases on the business credit line. I have not had a problem with Fleet. I've had a card account for 3+ years. Quite often though, the business card side of the company will send you BT checks at 1.9% with 3% fees to a max of $35. Interest starts the day they receive the check for processing. Then, a few weeks later, they send out another mailer for 2.9% with the same terms. I thing they get their marketing wires crossed. In addition, Fleet's personal cards report on all bureaus while the business card does not report at all (unless you default). Overall, on an A to Z scale, I rate Fleet a B- CardKid
Depends where you are. I am quite sure that my fellow Californians will NOT get new Fleet cards! Still don't have a BofA card yet, but would not want BofA to start issuing Fleet cards.
WHEN BofA is done with buying FLEET...THEY WILL BE ISSUING ONLY BofA CARDS The FLEET NAME will be gone...I ASSUME
PS. I predict the Red Sox in 2004 if they do indeed get Schilling from Arizona. Dodgers or Angels? Well, maybe in 2007
Re: Re: Can I get some feedback on Fleet? I'm watching the news as we speak (living here in AZ) and the 28 year old Red Sox GM walked into Kurt's home with a taped box. Later, he walks out with the box wide open and empty for the cameras to see. The media predicts that Kurt's Red Sox jersey was in the box. Being a Philadelphian by birth, I'm a die-hard Phillies, Eagles, Sixers and Fliers fan. But, if AZ looses Schilling, the odds of returning to the big dance in the near future have just gotten tougher. CardKid
Re: Re: Can I get some feedback on Fleet? Whoa! Thanks for the update. Betcha it probably was a red sox jersey for curt (or is it kurt?) to try on for size
Hello? FBI?? I'd like to report a hijacked thread ;-) Thanks for the feedback, BTW, I live in Cali. BofA is buying out Fleet?
would it make sense to apply for a fleet card in hopes that bofA merges with Fleet and that I'll get to combine my bofA card with my fleet card (thus increasing my current limit) or it is not worth the risk of picking up fleet which isn't the best card according to feedback.
Re: Re: Can I get some feedback on Fleet? Get a FLEET if you want...it should only be a FLEET for 5 or 6 more months...then combine with your current BofA card (1/2 BDD)
