I put some charges on the card and they've shown up on line, but it won't let me pay them... do I have to wait for a bill to get produced?
Yes, but you may have to pay via snail mail with a paper check. Some cards do have time limitations on electronic payment such allowing only one e-payment every four days. Why not telephone AMEX CS and inquire if there is a specific reason why their system won't accept your payment?
Thanks, I called 'em up and found out that payments can't be made within the first month directly from a bank account until a bill is issued.
