I had a BK in December of 95. since then I have kept my credit perfect. I immediatly got a secured credit card and have had it ever since. I also got a car loan and have kept it over paid. I want to lease a 2002 dodge ram. It would cost about $32000. I just checked my score at Equifax and it was 630. Am i dreaming or do you think I could qualify for a lease. I don't want to go into a dealership...haggle for a price and what i want....then not be able to get anyone to approve me for a lease....Please help.

    Bump,
I'm trying to get up the nerve to apply for a lease as well. I'm 5 years out of BK and have plenty of credit, probably too much. High debt ratio......
Anybody out there lease a vehicle after a BK.

yes you can with some cash down.

remember there are two things that count the most:

    1. your current car payment history.
    2. Financial aspect (can you afford it, including a reasonable down payment), and the wicked high insurance rates..

Friend of mine got a great deal on a lease of his truck, he's like 20, then when ford motor credit demanded 1 million in liability insurance and his insurance went to 6000/yr, he realized how f***** he really was :)
