Hello, I just found out that Countrywide is not reporting my house payment to the CRA's anymore. I filed for BK7 and I listed my house under the items that I wanted to keep, but DID NOT file a separate reaffirmation agrrement, because I didn't know I needed to.My BK got discharged a couple of weeks ago. Apparently , I needed to reaffirm before my chapter 7 BK was discharged. Is there anything I can do to correct this situation? I have had the house for 54 months and I have always made the payments on time. I am planning on keeping the house and I have 40% equity in this house. Just trying to get Countrywide to report my payments as current. Thanks.
I would call the BK attorney that you used and ask. The mortgage company has not taken steps to foreclose so it does not appear that they have an issue with the status of the loan wrt the BK7.
