I went to check on a dispute that I entered online that was scheduled to end tomorrow now has dates of 4/22/02-4/25/02!

I called to see why they reaged my dispute. Before I could ask my question, the rep is telling me I need to send in a copy of my DL and SS card so that my two credit files can be merged.

"Anything else I can help you with?"

Well, I would like to ask my question. Why have the dates of my investigation changed?

She said my dispute is in the Maintenance dept. She has no other info and can't (or would not) explain the changes.

    Can I scream now? Please?

Because you don't have the luxury of being one of their paying clients.

Is this equifax? If so relax, it is being deleted. They did this with one of my last disputes. Changed it to a 3 day period between start and finish. They have 3 days to delete it or ammend to it as you requested.

I think this was one of the issues in christi's suit, the changing of dispute resolution dates. Did you print that screen as a cya?

    Sassy

I just printed the "Active Investigation Status Information" page. Thanks for reminding me.

I should have said this in my initial post. The report that they reaged is my married name report. It does not have the reinserted accounts on it.

My maiden name report has the reinserted accounts on it. There is no investigation pending on that report.

I spoke to the supervisor about my maiden name report evidently did a background check on me while he had me on hold and discovered that I had two files. He FLAGGED my married name report. When I got off the phone I checked the status of my married name investigation and noticed the new investigation dates and called about it. That was the first thing out of the rep's mouth, we need to merge your files. Send your SS card and copy of your DL; she ASSUMED that was what I was calling about.

But why would they need to extend the investigation dates on the married name report if the accounts that they "are" deleting are on the maiden name report?

...Unless the three day extension is for the accounts with the investigation due date of tomorrow. LKH, I hope you are right. I just feel that was too coincidental and I have never seen that before (I think).

I feel another one coming on...

    AAAHHHH!!!

We'll see. Wish me the best.
