NCO verified an account that I disputed with Equifax. They have until 5/18 to respond to my validation letter. Is this legal?

RJM Acq verified with Experian. They have until 5/20 to respond. Legal?

Do I have them on the hook? What letter do I use?

    TIA

Did they mark the accounts disputed by consumer?

I wouldn't sue quite yet since from all I've learned here, you want to create a good paper trail. Make sure you have the reports from both before and after. On day 31 when the creditor does not send validation, or insufficient validation (i.e. the infamous computer printout with your name, address, SS# on it) then send the estoppel CRRR. Give them 15 days from receipt of that letter, then send Intent to Sue and outline their violations. Specify a date that you will be filing on, and plan to follow through if you don't get any response.

NCO did, not RJM. NCO coded it in dispute but took it off a few days ago...still no validation.
