Ok I disputed with experian and equifax, just that the results back. experian told me they were able to vertify medical collections. bull I know they are just matching up ss#'s,I have to try and send them a valadiation letter.
But my question is on equifax, during the 30 dispute I watched the report everyday. they changed info on a charge off, and just listed the bal change, now they have put back the high bal, charge off amount and again is listing as charge off making payment, pd in full already. This account I have to find someway to get them they did not list this account when in good status, listed just prior to charge off, says acc opened in 99 but being reported as 8/01, but being charged off in 01/01, is this right.
Also on another charge off account that is paid, info was changed on this too, now they have pd settlement on account, bull I had to pay the bal of what was owed. and at the same time I have a collection agency listed the bal of 1600, for collection fee's on that account. I called the org creditor and they told me that I paid in full and that is an error.
I was told by the collection agency that they will take off, but don't know for sure how quickly. so I dispute with the CRA. I am wondering if what is being done is illegal, seems they are telling me things are verfited and then just changing things on the report.

Wish I had grounds to take them to court. I would love to sue the charge off account and the collection agency for listing wrong info and CRA.
Any help would be appericated. I have been at this awhile and seem to be getting no where. funny thing is when we disputed everthing, we got a new car with fin rate at o% through chrysler, I don't know if it help that we had a car payment for the last 5 years with no lates, that might have help.
Scores are in the mid 500"s. I have like seven accounts in good status, just got mortgage and still can't get anywhere with the score.

    Sorry for the long post.

    is this paid in full?

Do not send a validation letter to Equifax. This will accomplish nothing. Do you have proof the accounts were reaged i.e old credit reports. Ask the collection agency who decided to delete to fax or mail you a UDF as proof. There words are not worth the paper they are written on. Request an accounting of the procedure equifax used to verify those accounts. Who they spoke to, name and title, telephone number, what criteria was used to determine the validity of the account. A form letter for this can be found in the letter section. Personalize it and send it . Hope this somehow helps.

I was not refering to sending validation to the CRA, just for clarification.

You can not count on the CA to delete unless you have it in writing, most likely the guy who said it would be deleted is pulling your chain. and most of the "varificatons" are done electronicly.

you should go after this from both sides

request varification of proceduers from the CRA, and make the CA agent you spoke to give you written conformation that they intend to delete. If they will not delete I would start a "Nutcase" series on them ( lots of reference here just do a search)
