In order to engage in collection activities within the State of Florida, a Third Party debt Collection Agency must register with the State and maintain a valid license. You can contact the State Attorney General's Office and request the status of each company's License. There is also a web site you can use, but I'll have to do a little research to get you the URL.

You can research CA licenses for the State of Florida at http://www.dbf.state.fl.us/licensing

    Hope this helps.
