I have a tough one for everyone.
I was pregnant in 1999/2000 I had no health insurance and had to pay cash for all med bills. I paid for all my doctor's visits except the last one and i did not pay for the blood work the doctor ordered . I have good resons for not paying......

I was 2 weeks from my due date when my doctors liscense was suspended for malpractice. All her records were taken by the medical board for review and her office was closed. I had to find another doctor to delivery for me and the new doctor had to redo all the blood work the first had ordered because the lab would not release the results to anyone but the doctor who ordered the bloodwork in the first place.
So now the lab wants me to pay for bloodwork that was drawn ,but i never recieved the results from. Also the hospital wants money for a sonogram she ordered that had to be redone because i had no access to the results.
Should I have to pay for these....

Have you already received a collection notice from a CA? If so, send a validation ltr. It doesn't seem like they'll be able to validate if all the records were confiscated.
