Hello, I am new to this discussion and topic. I might possibly get a charge off on one of my accounts soon. If this happens, can it somehow be removed from the credit reports even if it is not paid? Thank you!
WOW, who in heck waits seven years for a chargeoff to come off their account?? Certainly noone in this forum I would hope. Persons who wait 7 years for it to come off are persons who know nothing about credit repair!

It is a very simple answer, YES, chargeoffs can be deleted before the 7yr period, people do it all the time. I wasn't trying to be snide with you, but a comment of "sure, just wait seven years" isn't very encouraging for someone who is obviously new to the boards. If that is the best crap you can post, don't even waste the space to post it, it doesn't help anyone.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Can unpaid charge offs be cleared? i apologize, i wasn't trying to be rude... i just can't stand it when people think they are helping others by being rude... well you see drs, the FAQ section covers a lot of the basic questions that are asked OVER AND OVER again, so that is the first place one should reference... the discussion is more for topics not covered by the easily obtained info (so to speak) please feel free to email me with any questions you may have. if i don't have an answer, i will try to face you in the right direction...after you read the FAQ. sometimes those answers don't make perfect sense to everyone either... and always remember, much of this stuff is based on interpretation and experience...it's a case by case basis...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Can unpaid charge offs be cleared? furthermore...if you can, try to work it out with your creditor...charge offs suck...if there is anything you can do to catch your account up, i would try that first...it makes sense for them to want to try to work things out with you.
I'm assuming this is a recent account. If it is then the creditor will likely have good records and will be able to validate any requests for validation of the debt. They may also try to sue you in order to force you into paying the debt. If they don't sue you then in a few years after they archive the records you may be able to dispute it off.
Re: Re: Can unpaid charge offs be cleared? and even longer when they get a lien and or a judgment. another great thing about this 7 year plan is you get bilked with over charges on insurance and loan interest for the 7 years.
