Let's all figure out once and for all who is best for monitoring. I put together the chart below to help me but there seem to be so many different opinions her on the posts that staring at it only made me more confused. I have a few questions (at the bottom). Thanks in advance. ======================================================= TransUnion offers (at truecredit.com): 1) Product #1 which includes: a) a TU report b) a TU FAKO score (despite the fact that there is such a thing as a TU FICO score) c) TU daily monitoring d) TU credit report pulls once every 30 days e) free for 30 days then 11.95 per month 2) Product #2 which includes: a) a 3-bureau tri-merged report b) 3 FAKO scores (despite the fact that there is such a thing as a TU and EQ FICO score) c) 3-bureau daily monitoring d) 3-bureau report pulls once every 30 days e) free for 30 days then 14.95 per month ======================================================= EXPERIAN OFFERS: 1) "Credit Manager" (at creditexpert.com) which includes: a) an EX report b) an EX FAKO score (they have some kind of dispute with the FICO people) c) EX daily monitoring d) unlimited EX pulls e) free for 30 days then 11.95 per month 2) "CreditCheck Total" (at creditchecktotal.com) which includes: a) 3-bureau tri-merged report b) 3 FAKO scores (they have some kind of dispute with the FICO people) c) 3-bureau daily monitoring d) unlimited 3-bureau report pulls e) free for 9 days then 19.95 per month ======================================================= EQUIFAX offers (at equifax.com): 1) "ScoreWatch" which includes: a) no credit report--just a "Score Power Report" telling you what your score is good for b) an EQ FICO score c) EQ daily monitoring d) no future report pulls--though you do get another Score Power Report e) $9.95 per month 2) "CreditWatch Gold" which includes a) an EQ report b) no score c) EQ daily monitoring d) unlimited EQ pulls e) 9.95 per month 3) "CreditWatch Gold with 3-in-1 Monitoring" which includes a) a 3-bureau tri-merged report b) no score c) 3-bureau daily monitoring d) unlimited EQ pulls e) $12.95 per month 4) "Equifax ID Patrol" which includes: a) a 3-bureau tri-merged report b) no score c) 3-bureau daily monitoring d) unlimited EQ pulls e) extra security features not included in the above product f) $14.95 per month 5) "CreditWatch Gold with 3-in-1 Monitoring with FICO score" which includes: a) a 3-bureau tri-merged report b) an EQ FICO score c) 3-bureau daily monitoring d) unlimited EQ pulls e) $14.95 per month ======================================================= Questions: 1) When you pull your reports (daily with Equifax and Experian, monthly with TransUnion) does it give you updated FICO (with Equifax) and FAKO (with Experian and TransUnion) scores? Or do you get these with your daily alerts? Or not at all? 2) Why would anyone choose TU Product #1 or Experian Credit Manager (at creditexpert.com) or any of the EQ products? Aren't we supposed to monitor all 3 reports? 3) What about myFICO's products? Anyone use their monitoring ("ScoreWatch" which gives you two EQ reports and EQ FICOs per year for $8.95 per month--or--"FICO Quarterly monitoring" which gives you four TU reports and TU FICOs per year for $4.95 per month)? Why can't they just combine these two products and charge, maybe...I'd pay as much as $19.95 per month for MONTHLY TU reports, TU FICOs, EQ reports and EQ FICOs. Then I'd add on Experian Credit Manager $12. I know $30 is a lot to pay per month but something that had all your FICOs, FAKOs and daily reports would be superb. 4) Am I correct in assuming that Creditchecktotal is the closest to perfect that there is here? They monitor all 3 reports and let you pull them all daily so you can keep an eye on things. No one else does that (TU monitors all 3 but doesn't let you pull all 3 daily, EQ monitors all 3 but only allows daily pulls of EQ).
