Is it possible to dispute lates shown on a credit report for a credit card i currently use and want to keep and get them removed permanently? Or will they most likely reappear the next month or months when the acount is updated. It seems that everyone here is only disputing after account is closed....

    Thanks Kevin

because lets say i dispute.. they dont verify. then the lates come off. Then next month they update the record with their info which shows late. their goes the work to get it off.

If they don't verify, your entire tradeline is gone -- "suppressed" -- so even if there is a next month update from the OC, there won't be a tradeline to update.

You run the risk anytime you dispute that they delete the trade line, sometimes this is a good thing but often itâ??s the worst thing if itâ??s open and you want to keep it.
I have one stubborn 30 day account from years ago and they always verify it.
Iâ??ve disputed open good trades and they were deleted, none ever came back and nice to have an additional hidden credit line.
I have also disputed closed good trades that were less than the average age of accounts to increase the average age of accounts but this is not recommended if you only have a few accounts and takes some math homework to see if it really benefits you more than the positive line.
