You already have a Citi card? Just wondering how many cards Citi allows, even on a temporary basis. I was thinking about the g/f's card...then applying for 2 to do the Citi BDD and then add both new cards to the old existing card. Anyone had experience with this? Success?

YES...if approved then combine with what you already have...

THAT IS ONE OF THE MAJOR REASONS FOR DOING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE...

Figured that much. Just thought it was for non Citi card holders. Didn't know if a current Citi card holder could get approved for 2 more cards.

    Thanks.

I did my Citi BDD two weeks apart - got approved for the AA Advantage, then applied online for the Citi Plat Select. Once approved, I called to combine. Customer service acted like it was no big deal to do so.

I cant believe it. Two weeks ago I was approved for a Dividend Platinum Select w/$4700 CL, and now I was just approved for a Platinum Select w/$7100 CL

All I can say is WOW - and I am done applying for a long long time.

I think the limit is two within 60 days, so wait a couple of months after you get the second one to apply again.

There were some people several years ago who applied for two, combined them, waited a few months, applied for two more and combined both of them with the original one.
