I received a letter from TU regarding a dispute I sent in, they sent me a letter back saying that they will not start the investigations until I send them a copy of my drivers liscence and my social security card, I am the same person they have been dealing with for the last year, why should I send them a copy of my drivers liscense? If I refuse, will they refuse to investigate?

They must have 100% correct information...YOU HAVE TO PROVE NOTHING!!!

Did you dispute your SS# and DRIVER'S LICENSE # ???

If your disputing like your SEARS card was NEVER LATE...they have NO need for the copies!!!

No, I didn't dispute any of those items, just some collection accounts.

They will ignore your dispute without the information.

I called up and asked "why?" They said another persons file /name was merged with mine. I faxed the info to them and it was corrected.

Call up TU they are very friendly to explain the reasons, and this made sense.
