Since I just received my new Citi Plat Select today (pulled the combo trick (18000CL), converted it all in one phone call to the select, and convinced them to overnight the new plat card) I figured it was time to let Cross Country have their card back. Called today and the rep started giving me the song and dance "Could I interest you in keeping your card till April since you did already pay the annual fee???" I said, "No, but you could interest me in a short phone call and closed account" The rep kinda just sat there in silence for a second..............I almost cracked up laughing. It was too funny. Anyway, I said goodbye to those scumbags. I had that card for over a year and a half and I never used it, thank god. Matt
Thanks all, I have been looking forward to that phone call for a long time. For those of you who have never had the card your lucky. I asked about APR reductions over the year and a half. They told me it was a fixed rate of 20.9 %. They never budged.
