I just tried to order a Transunion and an Experian credit report - I got an error message saying that I could not be identified!!! What on earth does that mean?

I have got this message before. Sometimes if you have moved since you last got a report it will do this. Call them and get one.

Sometimes if you purchase a credit report with a non-credit card (ex: debit card from your bank) the bureau won't be able to recognize the number being entered, and will need to contact you for additional information.

Just make sure you're using a real credit card for your purchase.
