Can't get a car loan to save my...

    learnmore, From what I've been told from car dealers 500 + is doable as long as you don't have a repo in the last 6 months. Charlie

    If all you have is lates affecting your scores I would try disputing them first. Maybe some will come off and give you a nice boost. I've read post of this board by members that have been financed with scores in the high 500's. However, I'm sure that you'll get a better deal if you could get your EQ & EX scores into the 620 range or so. Good luck to you.

    I guess I'm OK then, the big question will be loan rate and the fact that most car dealers think if your credit is bad that you are a complete idiot!

    If car holds out, I'm gonna wait until spring to give time to boost scores a little more.

    If I remember correctly, he was able to get financing through a dealer. I the rate was <5% on a new Subaru.

    My previous post was wrong. He did get financed, but not at the rate I listed.
