An elderly friend whom I have been helping has a problem that has me baffled. A CA (Calvary) put a fake entry on her CRA's last year,I helped her dispute it,rrr with all 3 CRA's and file complaints with the FTC and her State AG. She has never had any contact with the CA, no calls, no letters. The account was deleted in Nov.2001 from her reports. This month the fake account, without any notice suddenly reappeared. It is just showing a $ amount due -nothing else,I helped her call one CRA who said she must dispute it with the CA.She doesn't want to contact a CA who has never contacted her.If she sends off another round of rrr's to the CRA's how can I help her make sure this doesn't keep on reappearing? Law suits are not an option, she doesn't want the aggrevation.

Thanks, even my elderly friend knows what she needs to ask for, what I am looking for is something that will require the CRA's to accede to her request.I have searched all the rulings and can't find any requirement to delete unverifiable items without going through a validation proccess with this slimebag ca.

Never mind, I found what I needed. FCRA required written notice with full accounting for reinsertion of a deleted item. I will print out the statute for her and help her file a dispute online to save her the rrr charges.

I went thru a similar situation with Exp. last year. They reinserted an acct that had been deleted and despite my quoting the FCRA about the info being certified as correct, etc. they wouldn't delete it. I spoke to the mgr. at my local exp. affiliate who admitted to me they had no certification and it was reinserted due to the monthly tape updates. It was what finally made me file my lawsuit against them. It took a lawsuit to get it deleted, despite their admission they were in violation.
