I need some help. The only thing standing between me and a new home is cap 1 and a 90 day late from december of 2001. I was in school full time and my job ended at the end of the semester (with wife and 2 kids). needless to say, i didn't pay it until feb. It is now current and open. I tried planet feedback and mr cooke to no avail. No sympathy. How can i get it removed, i've disputed with cra's only to have verified. i'm thinking about closing the account and sending and accord and satisfaction for deletion. They are in virginia and the law upholds restrictive endorsements. Any suggestions, this is the only neg. left on my account thanks to you guys, besides a ch. 7 from 1994. Opinions please.

    Thanks in advance.

Call customer service. Immediately ask for a supervisor, then kindly explain the situation of what happened and that the 90 day late is the only thing holding up your mortgage app.

Here's a number (I think it still works): (972) 819-5870. His name is John Miller and he was my former supervisor at First USA (He's now a supervisor in the collections dept at Cap One). I'm not sure what he can do but it's worth a shot, if anything he can refer you to a person/dept to call. If you call him, tell him George, his former "favorite" employee from FUSA said Hi...LOL

    Thank you!

I will call him today. Wish me luck as this $200 toy card could mean thousands to me in interest by causing me to go subprime instead of conventional.

This out fit trashes your credit for 7 years over a lousy 200 bucks and the home loan company collects all the extra jack for doing nothing.Where is the rhyme reason or justice in that.?
