Has anyone had success getting this annual fee waived?

I applied and was given a piss poor limit and got Cooke to raise it a tad. It's still low, but I'll hang on for a while.

I just realized that this card has a $72 annual fee? I don't want this card if that's the case. WTF is that? I have a Kmart Mastercard with Cap1 and they can keep this card if there's a fee.

Has anyone gotten the fee waived? Should I call the 800 or use PF again to speak to Mr. Cooke.

    TIA.

I did with some cards a few years back,if they say No see if they will lower the fee capitol one has. You can get it remove or work a deal. Also apply for another card bank of america sit e tells you in 24 to 78 hours, sears master charges, try the blue card.

What a shame. You wasted and inquiry if you
do not keep the card. You have to read all disclosures carefully and slowly when getting new cards. Always protect yourself by reading the fine
print at time of application and upon receipt of the
card. Many issuers have been known to do the old
switcheroo ie Nextcard, Capital One etc

No success for annual feee wavied and everytime they give me your type of account is eligible for annual waive. They offered me MCI long distance plan for waving annual fee. Of course I said no. You better off to apply for Kmart Mastercard or another type of Cpaital One card with no annual fee.

Cap 1 will lower the fee just tell them how mad you are and most cards do not offer you a fee,ask to speak to a higher up and if they don't drop card. 72 is alot. I got two gold caard no fee and one plain 49 fee they cut the 49 in half and gave me 700 more in limit ,lower my % rate so i was happy, but I still hate the fee. Then need to work a deal with you make them are you walk away. Try bank of america.
