Cap 1 approval or denial??

    Has anyone ever received an approval after applying for a Cap 1 product and getting the "we need to further process your request" response???

    I'm already sure it's a denial but it felt so good to not SEE that in BOLD print after I hit "send". LOL!!

    I shouldn't have done it, darn well didn't need it, but I gotta tell ya, it's like a rush to apply sometimes!!!!!! I couldn't stop my silly self!!!

    All it takes for me is one tiny whisp of hope, I read on someone's prior post that they got a Cap 1 after they bk'd on them.

    crazy (& stupid on my part!) :p

    (Ps. TJMaxx is what I applied for).

    It could mean that Cap 1 has issues with your address or other credit report data, which has nothing to do with a denial.

    Not sure if cs can shed any light on this.

    I got that message also. The card showed up in a week or two.So have faith, you may still get it..

    After being denied several credit cards, as a joke I applied for a Cap Platinum M/Card ( I live in Canada ) on one of their "pre-approved" offer forms. This was back in Feb.

    They sent me a letter requesting verification of income ( I am self employed ). I sent it to them and recieved another notice. It looked like the standard sorry but..

    It is a good thing I read the whole letter as the top portion denied me a Platinum card but at the bottom they approved me for a Premium card with a $1000 CL. I just had to sign requesting the alternate card and mail it in.

    I received my card 2 weeks ago.
