I am looking to refi my 2003 Toyota out from a 15.5% apr, bought last March. I know, I did it B4 I found this board but I really needed to get a new, positive TL for a mortgage (closing in 1 wk) woohoo! I was also inside a 2yr post BK7. Now it's past the magic 2 yr mark. Anyway, I am considering applying to Crapital 1 for refi and wanted some feedback. Anyone know the scores they consider for a more reasonable rate than 15.5%? Never any lates, and scores in low-mid 600's. Thoughts???

With mid 600 scores we refi'd a 21.5 APR to 9.xx with Household. Still high but saved ourselves over $100 per month. I wouldn't see why you couldn't get a 10% or less refi with Household, don't know what Crap1 accepts.

We tried to refi with Cap1 on an auto loan and was approved but the interest rate was 14%. That would've meant, had we taken the offer, that we would now be paying more on a monthly basis that we were paying.

Ticked me off that I wasted hards for that BS.

Stay away from Cap1 Auto Refi unless you're paying like 29% right now.
