$500 increase. 13.9% Guess that $1500 balance transfer made them scared. They were very nice, and its my oldest tradeline, so i wasn't about to close it.. Btw, this is 5 months after my last PFB call. Applied on PFB Tuesday, Got the email to call them Yesterday, called this morning, got a callback. They are fast. Might be time to talk to "R" about my prime+0.9% at citi pretty soon again.
I Bt'd all my balanced off the capitalone a day before, to show them i mean business. I also closed my other Cap 1 account too. Mr cooke is cool. He knows what we're up to. I told it straight up ," I have other accounts with better interest rates, i need something from you, to convince me to continue using this card. It is my oldest tradeline and i Do value that, and capital one has always been great in customer service, what can you do to keep me as a customer.." no b/s involved.
Way to go Sam. I did the same (no BS route) when I dealt with Mr. Miller. I told them that I was not happy, but I wasn't ready to cancel. I was getting better offers and I needed a reason other than "oldest tradeline" to keep Cap1...I also informed him I was cleaning up some errors on my reports and I would fax the updated reports to him. He increased my limit and was very understanding of the credit rebuilding process I was doing. I think they see through all the crap so it is best to be upfront and no BS. Congrats on the limit increase. Nice APR dude. -Peace, Dave
