I received a letter today offering me a $500 credit limit from Capital 1 if I paid the $49 security deposit. This is great for me as it offers better terms than either of my providian cards. My only question is has anyone also accepted this offer and how long does it take to recieve your card once you mail of your deposit? Thanx, Sub-Primal,
I accepted an offer for their secured card for $200 limit for $199 deposit and waited OVER 30 days. Everytime I called I got a different story. Finally I wrote Planetfeedback and Mr. Miller was on it! I had to fax him a copy of the canceled check and once he got that, he sent me back my $200 and opended me up a non secured account w/ $200. Hey...it was a start....
Received a solicitation for the Visa Gold with the $49 deposit and $39 annual fee. I called Cap 1 last week and they took my app. over the phone, they didn't ask me for any of the info off the app. even though I told them I received a solicitated offer. My husband got one of those invitation only offers with a cool looking card of theirs. His offer was different and he accepted through the mail. Got the card about 2 1/2 weeks later. So they took my application and said they would let me know. I was told that they look to see if you qualify for any of their other cards first. Been just about a week and I have not received a letter or anything else.
By the way, my offer said that my deposit would be billed to my card. I didn't have to send any money up front. Maybe you received a different offer.
