    Can you get TWO accounts with them?

    One for visa?
    One for MC?

    I know some companies let you do this?

    Most definetely!

    I got an unsecured Mastercard from them in 11/99, and about 6/00 I applied for their classic visa online and received a card about 3 weeks later!

    and my wife even gets preapproved offers in both her married and maiden names !

    yes i have 3 unsecured cards from capital one

    I'm sure that you can. I have 4 capital one cards- including the dinky $200 limit "gold"card. I am disputing it because the disclosure stated that the minimum limit would be $500.
