Got a question for someone who has multiple Cap One cards and combined them.... Where they all of the same kind (i.e. Visa, MC) How long had you had the accounts before you asked for the combination? I applied for a CapOne Plat and was offered the "alternate" card. It's not subprime because they have balance transfer options. I have a CapOne already with a whopping $600 CL and I'm about to pay it off. I wanted to get the other CapOne, hold it for a while, then ask them to combine the 2 cards. So any help anyone can offer would be great. Thanks!

Shantel, When I called to close the silly $200/$6 a month card, they transferred me to retention, and the guy gave up pretty easily, and offered to increase my other card by $300. Don't know if that helps, but he did better than combine them. breeze
