Last week, I get a mailer from Cap One for their business card. I apply online and are told that they will get with me in 10 days or so. I figure declined. Yesterday, I get a letter from them stating they are reviewing my application, but include all the terms for the new business card and that they would let me know in 5-10 days. What gives? I have an account that has always been in good standing with Cap One, but it only has a 700 dollar limit. I do have a legitamite small start-up business but have a BK back in 2002. Are they seriously thinking about giving me a business card???? I figured they just would have declined me and sent the letter. I never received a letter like this from a CC company. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
You can always call 8005484593, I think is the number for new accounts to check the status. (I think thats the number, Im at the workplace reading CN I will check when I get home to make sure I quoted you the right phone number.
Thanks again on the number. They said it was approved and I should receive the card by May 12th!!!!! I can't believe it!! Does anyone know what Cap One offers as CL on it's business cards? Ireally don't care, I'll take the 500 limit if that's what they offer. Also, can I get this information anywhere prior to receiving the card?
I just received one. They pulled Equifax, my worst, but gave me a $1000.00 limit. Good luck. I think my eq is 626.
koz what kind of cl did you get? I was afraid to try for their usually "generous" cl when others will give several times what they will.
glad I quote you the correct number and congradulations on being approved. BTW, dont feel discouraged if your credit line is low because in a matter of time it will increase if you go by the correct contact listed on the board. I started at a depressing 200 cr limit three years ago with NO ESTABLISHED credit at 18 and now am at 1200 dollar credit line!!!!!! Many on the board are pass 3k, but notice it takes time with Crap One.
Not sure of the cl yet. The card should be here this week. Cap One has always been good to me despite my crapy credit rating.
