I canceled my Crap 1 at the very end of July and as of today, it's still reported open through all 3 bureaus and it still shows full available credit on their website. I've also received one of their "pre-approved" auto loan offers in the mail recently. It's as if my acct was never canceled. The annual fee didn't bill when it was supposed to, so I'm assuming it's canceled. Oh well, as long as they want to show it active, I don't care. Maybe it'll show active for the next many years and I won't actually have to have their card.
