    Hey everyone,

I was checking out the Cap One site and they've got so many different terms!

I used the "Cardquest" to apply for a Gold Visa. $200-1000 limit, $6/month($72 annual fee), 19.8%.

On the Credit Card Comparison Chart:
CLASSIC CARD - choose from 6 designs (one of them being Gold!)
    $300-500 limit, $49 annual fee, 19.8%

GOLD VISA - $5,000-12,000 (if not approved, will consider same terms but at least $300 limit), $0 annual fee, 14.9%

I guess you really have to read and decide what you want to apply for. I was recently approved for the first offer I listed since I used the "Cardquest". This asks you some questions and offers a card that you may qualify for. I wish I would have searched around for the other offers before I applied.

I left Eugene Cooke voicemail so I will bring this up when he calls me on Monday.

I received an offer a couple of weeks ago for a Gold Visa card with a $49 deposit and $39 annual fee. There was no upfront money required, the deposit would be charged to my account (it is a refundable deposit). I applied by phone, but was not asked for any of the info from my application.

Today, I receive in the mail an offer for a Visa card (I believe a regular Visa) with an up front request for $99 and a $72 annual fee. This is a joke! I have an unsecured FCNB with a $49 annual fee and an Elan/Firstar Visa that is also unsecured and carries no annual fee. My husband just got a Cap 1 Gold MC unsecured and $59 annual fee. Off to PFB I go.

For some reason Cap One is giving out these toy cards to anyone who can sign their name.
