I requested Capital One to increase my credit limit to accommodate some balance transfers. They declined me. I have a $200.00 credit limit. I charge up and pay my account off weekly with them getting about $800.00 worth of payments monthly.

After I was rejected I called Eugene Cooke. I was transferred to his office whereas we had a very heated conversation. I was not very nice to him. I have never missed a payment and never went over limit.

He told me "There is nothing I can do for you". Before I hung up I told him what I thought of him and his bank. Then I hung up. I figured he would close my account. I was NOT very nice to him what so ever.

Wanna know what he did? He approved my credit line increase and proceeded with my balance transfer requests.

I think I owe him a big apology.

Congrats, Kev. Glad you got what you needed. BTW, I would apologize if I were you. I know you are not looking for advice on this though. LOL

I can't imagine having his job. Dealing with dissatisfied customers day in and day out. We are only human and can take so much. I think it was awesome of him to give you what you wanted after your conversation. That says a lot about his patience and ability to handle an issue professionally and without being vindictive.

How long had you had your card with the $200.00 limit before you requested a increase?

Can someone post the fax number or direct mailing address for Mr. Cooke @ Cap One...I promise I'll be nice to him!

I have had my account for 2 months shy of two years with Capital One. May is my anniversary.

I don't know Mr. Cooke's direct line or his fax number. Customer Service transferred me into his office.

You asked for him by name? or did they transfer you because of the nature of your call? or because you started sounding "disgruntled"?...LOL!

First I was transferred to a "Credit Manager" and after sounding very "disgruntled" they transferred me into Mr. Cooke's office.
