Applied for a regular Cap One but was denied a month ago. Just got offer in mail for secured, says pre-approved but I know that doesn't always mean much. This is a Capital One Gold MC, $49 deposit, $39 annual fee for a 200-500 limit-I'm rebuilding credit so don't expect great offers, waiting to get a FCNB card. Does this sound like an okay offer? Is the gold card better in some way? Should I wait till I use my FCNB a few months and maybe then be able to get something better? Interest is 19.8 variable.

Capitalone works great, very professional, online web payment option statement etc online.

    $49 for $200-400 limit
or tell them you want the $99 for $500 limit.
thats a deposit, you get it back. $29 membership fee. 19.85% interest, they do report to the bureaus instantly.

    I got mine in 3 weeks :)
