Cap One help

    Well I'm ready to dive into the cap one scene and try to get some lates off my husbands report. He currently has an R5 on 3 separate cap one accts. All 3 paid off in 2001.

    I don't see much hope in improving the status. What I would like to do is have them deleted because the credit limits are not reported. Has anyone had any luck with this strategy with cap one?

    Has anyone had any luck period deleting cap one?

    I've heard its hit and miss, but from what I've read anybody that has had any luck has gone thru PFB.

    Hi Kathy

    Do you still have any capital one accounts open or are they all closed ? If you still have an account open with them you could try the goodwill deletion. I have had success with that method as I have 2 accounts with cap 1 still open.

    If you have no open accounts with them they are less likely to respond to any goodwill requests since you are no longer a customer and they have already made their money off you.

    Can you give any more info to us on these old accounts?

    Still have an open/current cap one account besides the 3 closed accts.

    Not sure what other info about the 3 I can offer that would be of help? As me and I will tell? LOL :)

    I PFB'd and got an email response saying a letter is coming to me in the mail. They emailed me on 3/7 and still haven't gotten the letter. So I'm not going to do anything til I get it. I specifically requested the credit limits be included in their reporting and the exact late pay dates.

    PFB is planetfeedback.com. Its a site where you can go online and file a dispute on anything from a-z. Some people have had good results there I hear. Personally I have not tried it yet.

    Cap 1 is pretty good about resolving issues via PFB, usually in the customers favor
