my cap one secured card was activated on 2/20/02 ... do I have to wait exactly 6 months until I can ask for an increase - i.e. 8/20/02? normally I wouldn't be this impatient, but I'm going on vacation in a few days and it would be nice to have a higher limit before I go.

    thanks.

well, I decided that waiting the extra 14 days probably wouldn't matter, so I sent off a pfb request and 1 hour later, Mr. Cooke was calling with a $300 increase on my account. talk about quick service. so apparently, you don't have to wait for the exact day to get the increase, as long as you're somewhere within the month. good to know.

I just gave my name and account number. I specifically asked for a credit increase (as that was the most important thing for me right now) so we didn't talk about APR or unsecuring the card. but I'm sure if you write saying you would like to discuss more than one option that Mr. Cooke would be very helpful.
