    Hi all,
thanks in advance for any info- I've been with Cap One for over a year now with NO credit increases- I've asked twice and they denied me- perfect payment history, use the card frequently- $300 limit. I've been with Orchard less time than that and have gone from $200 to $700 in the past 4 months! How do I get Cap One to give me an increase??!! Call and threaten to cancel card?? Whats the deal? Any info is much appreciated.
    Thanks

Cap One is score driven for their limit increases.. They check your Equifax report monthly. Try to increase your score.

-- no applying for new accounts
-- stay below 49% of your high credit
-- get rid of old inquiries if you can
    -- no new accounts

You score is affected by any new accounts less than one year old.

This is the reason CAP1 is referred to CRAP1 here!

That would explain why my Crap1 card is still at $500 while my Old Navy department store card is $2,500.00.

I opened some new accounts, and all my old ones gave me increases.
