    Hi all,

Got this offer in the mail today:

0% purchase rate for 6 months, then a fixed 14.9% rate on purchases, BT, cash advances.

    No annual fee

    Minimum CL: $500
    Maximum CL: $7500

Full 1% cash back on all purchases paid at the end of the year as a credit or rebate check

    Platinum benefits

Does anyone have this card or got this kind of offer recently? I'm seriously thinking about going for it even if I get a low limit because of the cash back feature and the low cash advance rate. I know the interest rates can be lowered and the limit increased once I establish a good relationship with Cap One.

    Any thoughts ???

I agree with Bailey on this one. I got this same offer, only mine said "Up to $2000 credit limit". Ha! I do not need a toy platinum card. And unless your FICO is hovering around 800, that's probably what you'll end up with.

I guess I better stay away then. I already have Platinum cards from Amex, Bofa, Chase, and Citibank so it's not for the Platinum benefits. I just thought it would be better to have one card with everything I'm looking for: no annual fee, low rates, rewards program.

You don't need them and I got a couple offers from them. The terms of Cap1 Platinium cards are 14.9% fixed APR, $39 annual fee and it said it was pre-approved until Jan 23. Guarnatee approved. Minimum credit limit:$500. It sound like subprime terms to me. I got Platinium Card from Citibank,BofA,Citibank,People's Bank and First USA.
They offer lower APR and no annual fee. I threw my Cap1 offers into shredder.Besides I got two cards from them already. NO Thanks.
