I've noticed and read from here that Cap does not report your credit line. Wouldn't that throw off your debt to limits ratio?
Anyone know why they don't report this?

To keep other banks from seeing the info, and offering a higher limit...

course, once you get higher limits it helps you. You can hide part of your credit limit and thus get higher limits with other creditors.

The reason they do it is the above one. Protect their own assets

Yes Cap1 doesn't report limits and it does mess up your balance / limit ratio because your report may show that you are spending over your limit, which is not good.

Many people have complained about Cap1 reporting the high balance and not the limit, but Cap1 still hasn't changed its policy. The only way to get around this problem is to charge close to your credit limit once and then pay this balance in full so your high balance will be very close to your limit.

You can also send a copy of your bill to the BIG 3 with the CREDIT LIMIT HIGHLIGHTED...

THE CRA'S MUST REPORT COMPLETE AND ACCURATE INFORMATION...no credit limit reported is neither COMPLETE nor ACCURATE!!!
