If some of you remember, Cap One sent me a pre-approved card for up to a limit of $7512! Nothing - I called them, they sent me out a card with a $500 limit! I was polite to the rep Jennifer, but was clear that with my SIGNATURE, WORLD, $25k LOC at US BANK, etc, I would be returning the card as soon as I receive it. No more - I will still keep the no fee $7100 Platinum thru Mr. Cook - but the Dogman does not need to play anymore with this friggin company. That's what my good credit rating has allowed me to do - be selective. I will never respond again to any Capital One offer. Gosh - $500! Gosh! aarrff - dogman
Hi GEORGE! you got that right! I do not owe them anything - and I will make certain it stays that way. At least I got them to report a high credit of $6500! THX to my tax attorney - but I paid it off. No profit for Cap One from the Dogman! Hope you have all your Christmas shopping done - off to the company Christmas party next! aarrf - dogman
I'm not surprised at all. I, too, am done with Crap 1. They DO NOT try to help people with problem credit - they only take advantage. You're so much better off not doing business with them.
dogman, I hope your experience helped convinced others that are tempted to go for this lastest ploy by Cap 1. Remember once sub-prime with Cap 1 always sub-prime. Cap 1 does not care to learn. Best regards, Mirage
Same thing happened to me. Got $250 cl. Mr. Cooke found out that Cap1 aquired a company that I had problems with (well ch7) 15 yrs ago and they still have it on record. They may remember it forever so I just made a mental note not to apply with them again and move on. Good luck Cap1.
LOL- Crap1 did not approve me for a card... just got a letter yesterday that the autorefinace i was trying to get throug Capitolone auto finance was also decline.... Guess I'll have to wait a couple more years for these shitty scores to go away... BTW... my FAKO exp score is 611 now
Way to go, dogman. You're right, you don't need them. Just as I don't need Chase or MBNA. Have fun at the Christmas party. Have a glass of wine for me! Our party is actually in the middle of January, which is nice. Get through the holidays and then have a good time. And halfway through the month is long enough for the resolutions, so we're ready to eat, drink and be merry!
Happy Holidays hedwig I stayed for about 1 1/2 hours then left. I do not drink - and the entire group was smashed and mixing - started vodka - then like champagne - then something that smelled like licorice. MY PHILOSOPHY is you are dumb to get out of control at ANY COMPANY GATHERING. LOL, the Licorce smell was Jagermeister, pronounced Yagermeister, no I am not a fan of it either, but my oh so precious now 27 year old son was, it's funny what parent's find out years later.......
