Ok I know I am posting alot today but I am getting ready for the new year and I am really going to go forward on my credit problems. Fixing them that is!!! LOL Ok here is my latest question........ I had a old out of SOL acct that was set to fall off of my report next november. I would like to get a Cap One card but they bought my old debt. Do you think that I could get them to put that debt onto a credit card and i would pay it off that way and I could keep the card open after I pay it off? Should I contact Mr. Cooke about this?? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Casper72
I remember Cap1 was doing that for that exact purpose...buying old debt and offering a CC to put the debt on. I would contact Mr. Cooke through PFB and ask. It is worth a shot, and can not hurt since the SOL has passed. That is, if the debt is not HUGE...after all Cap1 usually offers minimal limits on new classic cards. -Peace, Dave
Should I mention that the debt is out of the statue of limitations or should I keep quiet about that? Or would it be better just to wait till next November and let it fall off? Casper72
Are you sure they bought the old debt? I recieved one of those offers several months ago for an old debt. If its past the SOL why renew it?
