(and I hope she stays dead)
After 6 months of written disputes my CAP1
charge off was deleted at EQ! The final trick that did it was to dispute it online. I always disputed it as not mine and I even spoke to Eugene Cook after I disputed directly to Cap1 through PFB and they refused. I guess that persistance paid off just like
the old timers have written here on cnet forever.
My fico score shot up at eq from 589 to 613. It's still the lowest of my CRA scores but everyone knows
that EQ scores everybody the lowest :(

I still have one more derog to conquer. This one is with AMEX and they have proven to be the toughest of nuts to crack.

Congratulations!!! That gives me hope. My husband's Cap1 charge off appears on all three reports. I disputed each a couple of times but always comes back verified. I decided to concentrate on the other derogs for now and let that one age a bit. Does the address Cap1 has for you still appear on your report? Unfortunately, we are at the same address, so I think that is one of the reasons it is easily verified (Not ready to get a PO Box to try and get it off.) Also, how old is your charge off, his is 3/02 so pretty recent. Again, Congratulations!

Yes my address ,put there by cap1, is still showing.
The derog was 5 y/o and until last year they were trying to collect on it using their own CA.
I think that they are getting weak now and/or I had so many written and phone disputes against it including intent to sue cap1 that they got tired of me
    whining.
My advice : keep on disputing, don't give up and find
any kind of angle you can think of to launch another dispute investigation.
Mix up your methods, use the phone, crrr and online.
Use PFB. I sent a validation letter to cap1
and they didn't have a signed app. In your case I think they probably still would.

Thanks, I will keep at it. Just did an on-line with TU. Figured it doesn't cost anything to try!
