Hi I am trying to get Cap1 to send me information of a charged off account. I have sent 3 certified letters over the last 2 months. I requested the original agreement with my signature and copy of the statements. The 1st letter was a nice request. The 2nd letter sent 30 days later was a little harsher. The 3rd was sent 15 days later and was a final request. There is no notation that I am disputing this account. They have not responded at all. I called them up today and they told me I was sending the letters to the wrong address The address I sent them to is right on the credit reports. The CRA also gave me the address in a procedure request. Cap1 gave me an address to request my signature form and a different one for a copy of the statements that I want which cost $3.00 per month that I request. My plan was to file against them next week. So now it looks like 2 months have been wasted, should I file against them anyway? Or am I better off seeing what they have?
