Cap1 Platnum too!!

    I already have a Cap1 card with a $2250 CL. I got a 'pre-approved' letter in the mail yesterday for the Platnum card because of 'I've taken good care of my other Cap1 account.' So I applied online with the set of special approval codes they sent me.

    Any idea what kind of limit I can expect from the 'Cap1 Platnum?'

    How would I know if I was truly approved and for what CL?

    Betcha it will be lower...

    They did this with me...my plat limit cam back much lower than my cl. I called and they said it was because I needed to establish history with this card.

    Same here - had a $3100 CL cap1, they sent me plat app... gave me a $500 CL.

    Actually, mine was 500 at 14.9. This was a couple years ago, though.

    Why go through the hassle of getting cap1 anyway knowing that they don't report CL
