Called the other day and they would not reduce/remove the $59 yearly fee. They had just got me for $39 for an upgrade to "gold" and a $100.00 CL increase. So, I said CLOSE IT. I called them back today---they refunded the 39 and reduced the yearly to 29.50. I plan to keep this card due to the fact that I have a lot of new credit and it's harming me while the Cap 1 account is now over a year old. Shall I call this a true success or am I getting happy over nothing? am

Now see if you can push your position a bit When you talk to the exec offices... get the annual fee permanantly waived and say you really expected a bigger credit line increase. see what happens. A quick letter and then a quick phone call might yield you even more results. And if not, you did great already
