I received a pre-approved Capital One platinum offer end of last May. I applied and the card came with a $500 credit limit. Two days ago I sent a letter (Planet Feedback)requesting a credit limit increase before activating the card. The same day the executive office called me and without any questions they increased the limit to $2000. Up to now they have been great to deal with! Has anybody been able to do anything about the annual fee ($39)? Mark
Mark, I called the executive office and the lady waive annual fee for Capital One MC and lower my rate to 11.99% fixed. By the way, I have that account ever since 12/97 Ron.
Thank you for the information. I have had two more Capital One accounts in the past (now closed). The first one I got in 1994 and I never had any late payments. The second one I got in 2000 and cancelled it a few months ago because of all the telemarketing! When I applied for it they checked Experian (633) and Transunion (768). Mark
Markman, I have a couple of Capital One in the past and one of them was secured MC since 94 and Unsecured Visa with $200 limit. Now they're all closed. Now I only have two accounts with them: Capital One MC and Kmart MC. They both have no annual fee and 11.99% fixed. Ron.
