If I have my wife COMBINE both her cards into one...(since the 3.90% BT is going to expire)...does the one being closed have to be paid off first??? Or will it be transferred and be at the other cards 4.90% rate??? I would e-mail or PFB them asking that question...but she works on the phone for her job 40+ hours per week...(enjoys her job)...but once she gets home and the phone rings...SHE REFUSES TO ANSWER!!! I asked her all week long to call CHASE asking for a NO "HARD" increase...hasn't got done. I E-MAILED THEM...they said that she has to call and a credit report would be pulled... WHAT HAPPEND TO THE "ALL READY-APPROVED" LIMIT INCREASES??? You used to be able to say..."LOOK ON YOUR SCREEN...CAN YOU SEE THE NO QUESTIONS ASKED APPROVAL FOR AN INCREASE IN THE CREDIT LIMIT"???
My husband and I just combined our ugly old gold cards with our new platinum cards. We PFB'ed Mr. Cooke. He called when my husband wasn't home but took my husband's info from me. I knew the social security number and birthdate so my husband didn't have to call. He is like your wife about the phone. Anyway he closed our golds and transferred the balances to our platinums no problem. He had to increased the line on our platinum cards equal to the line on our gold cards. Regular customer service told us this could not be done. Amazing that it was and so easily. Good luck, Kim
