Capital One and Mr. Cooke Rules

    Just a quick note to tell you all how much I appreciated the posts about Capital One. Using your methods, I sent a letter to Capital One via planet feedback and received an IMMEDIATE REPLY with MORE THAN I ASKED FOR.

    What else can I say!

    Good for you! I'm still waiting for any kind of a reply from my Thursday letter of last week.

    Hopefully I'll hear something before I die of old age. :)

    I totally agree... I got a large credit from CAP ONE almost the my credit limit...I spoke with Mr. Cook and he even lowered my APR! I love Cap I just wish they gave us larger credit limits.

    I am exceedingly happy with C1!

    Mr. Cooke contacted me and assured me that he would take care of the complaint I had against the representative that was so rude to me last week. He reversed several Over Limit fees (my complaint of charging me a O/L fee when my line was at the limit (albeit small limit but over nonetheless) and an accepted charged pushed it over the limit. He then gave me a small increase in my credit line and in the next few days he will combine both my credit lines on two separate cards to one card.

    Unfortunaely I can't say a lot for the representatives that Cap1 employs and it's a darn shame you have to go to extremes to get good customer service when you should get it at the front door in the first place.

    For instance, I've been disputing the same three charges on one of my accounts for several months now. I keep getting a form letter asking me to answer the same questions over and over again. A few weeks ago I get another letter, a reply from my letter to them saying, "okay here are the 6 charges you are disputing..." They took 3 charges and picked another three charges to make 6 lines when I only diputed 3 of them. the other three are with the same company but are legitimate. So this means another round of letters flying between me and their dispute department.

    I'll give them one more round and if they do the same thing (ask me again to verify 1. date I discoverd the charge 2. date I notified the vender of the charge and cancelled the service they were billing me for and 3. what the merchants response was. I have answered that same set of questions three times now. The fourth and FINAL letter is NOt going to be pretty I assure you...I may have to put it into a heat resistant envelope. LOL

    So, Cap1 solved half my problem today, and I hope they don't make me call me Cooke again on the disputes. :)

    Hello There,

    Just wanted to let you guys know that he is a really cool guy to work with...... he lower the apr on two capital one accounts but no credit line increase because of a recent increase... he said 6-9 months and he will be more than happy to look at the account at that time.... he is a awsome guy.....

    IS IT AUTOMATED?

    Wife's account...they won't give me the "TIME OF DAY IN CHINA"...let alone the credit limit, or even if the paperwork has been received or the card mailed!!!
